Saturday, May 26th, 2012Android has announced that it has added in-app subscriptions to the Google Play appstore, a payment model that will benefit periodicals such as news and magazines. One important feature of Google Play’s implementation is that it also allow developers to offer their users the ability to carry their subscriptions across other platforms, such as on their websites. This is made possible through the provision of a HTTP-based RESTful API that will allow developers to query subscription statuses of their users.
