Apparently, Gmail Is Still Behind Yahoo! Mail & Hotmail


Compete, an analytics company that studies and collect statistical data on consumer online behaviours, found that Gmail, despite its significant mindshare, is apparently still behind Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail in number of unique visitors in the US. Yahoo! Mail remains the top at 44%, Hotmail second at 30%, while Gmail is third at 15%. Data is collected from clickstream data, forming a dynamic panel of ~2 million consumers.
